November 12, 2010: David delivers a presentation related to integrating video games into schools at the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario Conference.

October, 2010: David is interviewed for a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) news story on the The National about integrating video games into the elementary school curriculum.

September 13, 2010: David publishes an article about integrating video games into the middle school classroom in Middle Ground.

June 9, 2010: David delivers a convocation address to graduates in Brock's teacher education program. The speech is covered by the St. Catharines Standard newspaper as part of it's Brock convocation reporting.

May 11, 2010: At an Ontario Ministry of Education conference, David presents on the possibilities for integrating video games across the Intermediate curriculum.

November 13, 2009: David delivers a presentation related to integrating video games into schools at the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario Conference.

June 15, 2009: David delivers a presentation entitled "10 Ways to Integrate Video Games into the Elementary and Secondary School Classroom" to the Immersive Worlds Conference, held at Brock University.

Academic Profile

David Hutchison, Ph.D. is Professor and Chair of the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, Brock University.

David is the author of six books. His research has been profiled by Canadian TV, radio, and newspaper media, including the CBC, CTV, CityTV (Breakfast Television), CHCH-TV, and A-Channel London.

David is the owner and lead developer at Lakewood Studios, a Macintosh software developer that publishes database products for personal, educational, and business use.

David is a past recipient of the William Pakenham Fellowship which is the most prestigious award granted to incoming graduate students at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT).
