In my opinion, it is in the best interest of all that we get educated and get familiar with the subject - perhaps the most contravercial subject of all.
The thing to understand about loss and failure is that they are
irrevocable. Success is fleeting but failure is inevitable and absolute.
Those who talk about misfortunes in terms of "recovery" are perpetrators
of the Big Lie. All losses are only foretastes, previews, of that final
loss when, with unimaginable terror, we plunge into the pit of death.
Imagine those final moments, as the finality of nonexistence finally
settles in, made more horrible by physical pain and the memories of all
life's humiliations.
Those who suffer most, the victims of great crimes or horrible diseases,
have simply been visited by death a little early, and are getting to
know him more slowly and thoroughly than the rest of us will. They are
to be admired and cherished, because they are wise, since they know more
than we do and are able to describe for us the nothingness that lies in
wait for us all.
